PBL in Action: Transformative Practices For a Thriving Classrooms
Follow the sun to San Diego on November 7-9, 2023 harness its power for an immersive IN-PERSON professional development. Connect STEAM, literature, and the social sciences in this dynamic multidisciplinary maker project. During our three days together we will launch rockets, create “tortilla press” art, encounter innovative cutting-edge ideas including Latinfuturism and the “cordel” from Brazil, and visit community partners in the San Diego area. We will model PBL practices and culturally responsive teaching strategies that can be universally applied to all grade levels, content, and school contexts. This event is collaboratively designed and facilitated by the HTH GSE Professional Learning with the Habla Teacher Institute. Liz, from our previous PBL in Action reflected:

This event is highly participatory and “hands-on,” be prepared to step in and out of the student and teacher seat.
